Three Railvac days in sunny Wirksworth
During three beautiful and sunny days in March, Bridgeway Railcare LLP and Railcare, Sweden arranged a business development activity on Wyvern Railway in Wirksworth, Derbyshire. Interested PW guests, from all over the UK, turned up and took part in different Railvac re-ballasting operations, drainage repairs and installations together with excavation of under track crossing - UTX, all performed with great productivity. This was also the first time the brand new Railvac RA7, designed to comply with W6A loading gauge, was performing on UK soil.
On Wednesday morning Railcare demonstrated a quick and cost effective method for drain culvert refurbishment. The Inpipe flexible culvert liner is a no-trenching method that has proved it to be reliable, cost effective and the installation is done with a minimal (if none!?) disturbance to train traffic. Railcare has experience from approx. 700 Inpipe railway installations in Scandinavia.
